Sounds like a delightful program! | Image: The Satanic Temple
Just so you know, according to the Friendly Atheist, 5% of elementary schools across America have explicitly Christian after school programs called “Good News Clubs.” That’s because the Equal Access Act of 1984 (praised by Jerry Falwell, of all people) meant that schools couldn’t stop the formation of after-school religious clubs so long as every religion (or non-religion) was allowed to do the same.
Enter The Satanic Temple’s After School Satan program.
I, for one, wish them every bit of luck in their quest.
And if the “sneak religion into school” clubs get angry, well, they have only themselves to blame.
Also, they’re selling copies of The Satanic Children’s Big Book of Activities at their shop (only $9.95!).
Happy Monday, Everyone.
