I really wasn’t going to post today, but this is beyond belief. The good folks at Cards Against Humanity are celebrating Black Friday — the least celebratory of godawful things Americans do every year — by collecting money to dig a hole. For real. You give them money, they dig a hole. The more money you give them, the longer they dig. From their site:
Is this real?
Unfortunately it is.
Where is the hole?
America. And in our hearts.
Is there some sort of deeper meaning or purpose to the hole?
No.
What do I get for contributing money to the hole?
A deeper hole. What else are you going to buy, an iPod?
Why aren’t you giving all this money to charity?
Why aren’t YOU giving all this money to charity? It’s your money.
Some days, you just can’t even. I know I can’t.
They’ve even got a live-cam of the hole being dug. Go to holidayhole.com for the whole ghastly spectacle.
