Bill Nye Saves The World | Vol. 4 / No. 11.3

You guys, I love Bill Nye.

Bill Nye, aerospace engineer, CEO of the Planetary Society, and everyone’s (everyone’s) favourite Science Guy is coming back to television, and he’s got a mission. “Save the World.”

In it, he’s going to tackle a whole lot of things, but mostly the things people keep getting wrong, especially politicians: climate change, vaccines, GMOs — you name it. If someone famous is being wrong about science in public, it looks like they’re going to talk about it.

“Each episode will tackle a topic from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders or titans of industry.”

He’ll be joined by a bunch of co-hosts, too: Emily Calandrelli (aka The Space Gal), comedians Joanna Hausmann and Nazeem Hussain, supermodel and avid programmer Karlie Kloss, and YouTube science communicator and creator of Veritasium Derek Muller.

Seriously — if you want a little hope for the future in a world where the folks running the show are all either non-scientists or actively anti-science, then take heart that with enough coverage, voters may actually learn something on Netflix and start correcting their politicians. We can only hope.

Watch the trailer, and get ready for the spring.
