On Monday, November 18, at 1:28pm EST, NASA is launching an Atlas V rocket carrying the MAVEN probe (Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN). If all goes well it’ll spend ten months en route to Mars. Once there, it’ll analyze the Martian atmosphere in an attempt to determine just where all that water went.
Because I can’t explain things anywhere near as well as LeVar Burton, I’ll turn things over to him.

Have a great day!
I was disappointed that this wasn’t preceded by the Reading Rainbow theme song.
Because you asked.
